The term “missed miscarriage” refers to a pregnancy loss in which the baby has stopped developing, and the pregnancy is no longer viable, but the woman is not yet having clear miscarriage symptoms.
Between 50 and 70 percent of first-trimester miscarriages are thought to be random events caused by chromosomal abnormalities in the fertilized egg. Most often, this means that the egg or sperm had the wrong number of chromosomes, and as a result, the fertilized egg can’t develop normally.
D&C, also known as dilation and curettage, is a surgical procedure often performed after a first trimester miscarriage. Dilation means to open up the cervix; curettage means to remove the contents of the uterus. Curettage may be performed by scraping the uterine wall with a curette instrument or by a suction curettage (also called vacuum aspiration), using a vacuum-type instrument.
This is has been my past week, and I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. Knowing I had a baby once “living” ( even though the doctor told me there was no heartbeat, so nothing REALLY died) inside of me, and now there is not tears my heart into shreds. All they kept saying was “this just wasn’t a good pregnancy.” Why? I need and answer as to why! There had to be something I did. Eat the wrong thing, lift something, not take my vitamins soon enough.
Not that I don’t love my first child, but why did I have a healthy pregnancy with the person who I despise with every fiber in my being, but I lost a baby with the man I love? I just don’t understand…….

You can spend 3,000 dollars on a new 60 inch plasma screen T.V., along with the receiver and the blue ray player, plus the new entertainment stand to match it, AND a brand new 8 piece patio set…but God forbid that you have enough money for me to get my wisdom teeth out even though you were right there when the surgeon said “Your top teeth need to come out as soon as possible, you don’t have enough room for them to come in, and if you don’t get them taken out, you will be in some serious pain.”
